Fresh Brothers, an eight-unit chain of pizzerias located in Southern California, has received an equity investment from Michael Greenberg, co-founder and president of Manhattan Beach-based shoe company Skechers USA, Inc.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The investment will help the company accelerate growth as it aims to increase to 100+ units.
Founded four years ago in 2008 by Adam Goldberg, Fresh Brothers offers a thin crust “mid-west” style pizza, baked chicken wings, an extensive salad line, as well as a gluten-free and vegan menu, which was developed using a training program by National Foundation for Celiac Awareness.
It currently has six units which feature dine-in, take-out and pizza delivery and two units currently under development in Santa Monica and Brentwood.
