Alberta Enterprise Makes US$15M Investment in EnerTech Capital Partners IV

Alberta Enterprise, a Government-backed agency that promotes the development of Alberta’s venture capital industry, has made a US$15m investment in the latest fund from EnerTech Capital.

EnerTech Capital Partners IV invests in early- to growth-stage companies that use innovative technologies to improve the production or consumption of energy.

Founded in 1996 and led by managing director Wally Hunter, EnerTech Capital focuses on mid and growth-stage ventures that use innovative technologies and business models to address the global need for cleaner, cheaper, more efficient energy.
Located in Philadelphia and Toronto, the firm will open a new office in Calgary in 2012.
