Zyga Technology, a Minneapolis, MN-based company that develops and markets minimally invasive surgical solutions to treat conditions of the spine, raised $25m in a Series C financing.
The round was led by new investor Versant Ventures, with participation from existing investors Split Rock Partners, Domain Associates, and MB Venture Partners.
Led by Jim Bullock, CEO and President, Zyga is currently in the process of commercializing its SImmetry® Sacroiliac Joint Fusion System(TM) and trialling its GLYDER(TM) facet resurfacing product.
The company intends to use the funding to expand clinical efforts, which will ultimately serve to gain CE Mark and US trial approval.
In conjunction with the investment, Kirk Nielsen, Managing Director, Versant Ventures, will join Zyga’s board.
