Vista Equity Partners Closes Fourth PE Fund at $3.5BN

Private equity firm Vista Equity Partners has closed its fourth fund at $3.5bn.

Vista Equity Partners Fund IV (VEPF IV), which had an initial target of $2.5bn, focuses on investing in enterprise software, content and data driven businesses.
Its first acquisitions, include:
– Turaz, a divestiture from Thomson Reuters,
– Vitera, the former Sage Healthcare Division of The Sage Group PLC,
– CDC Software, a global provider of ERP solutions and
– Misys, a UK based provider of treasury capital markets and banking solutions.

Led by Robert F. Smith, CEO and Chairman, Vista has over 50 investment professionals operating out of Austin TX, Chicago IL and San Francisco CA.
The firm currently has over $6.6 billion under management.
