CMUNE, a global developer and publisher of hardcore 3D social games, has received funding from Atomico.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

Founded in 2007 in Seoul, South Korea by CEO Ludovic Bodin and CTO Shaun LeLacheur, CMUNE has developed and published hardcore 3D social games including UberStrike, which has over 5 million registered players on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/uberstrike) where it has 1 million monthly active users, on GameStop’s Kongregate, and will soon launch on iOS & Android.

The company, which now has most of its Design and Development team in Beijing, China, where it has 20 employees, and commercial representation in San Francisco, USA, is continuously hiring people from around the world (http://www.cmune.com/index.php/jobs/).
