ToucHotel, a tourism and mobile commodity business, has raised a seed funding of undisclosed amount from Matteo Fago, Venere.com Co-Founder.
The company intends to use the capital to expand in the areas of engineering and international user acquisitions.
Launched on February 2010, ToucHotel is a free application for iPhone, iPad and Android that allows users to book hotels with the advice of their friends and ToucHotel’s community. Via the app, users can create their own network of friends from which they can share their favorite hotels and read reviews and ask advice on the hotel they want to book.
It currently has a database of over 260,000 hotels in over 30,000 international destinations.
