Skout, a San Francisco, CA-based mobile network for meeting new people, has secured $22m in expansion capital from Andreessen Horowitz.
The company intends to use the funding to continue to expand its network and improve its service.
A global mobile network for meeting new people, Skout allows users to discover new friends at the bar or in city leaving them the decision if, when and how they want to connect. The community focuses on fun and has a zero tolerance policy for bad behavior.
It currently has millions of community members in more than 100 countries and a million new people joining every month.
Led by CEO and founder Christian Wiklund, Skout is designed to enable basic interactions to messaging and virtual goods exchanges. The app is available for theiPhone and Android phones.
