Oasys Design Systems Closes Series B Funding

Oasys Design Systems, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based provider of chip design software, has closed Series B Funding.

Backers include Intel Capital and Xilinx, a provider of programmable platforms.

The company intends to use the funding (whose amount was not disclosed) as working capital to expand its research and development team, to improve its worldwide support structure.

Led by president and CEO Paul van Besouw, Oasys Design Systems provides electronic design automation (EDA) software with a new platform called Chip Synthesis™. It is in use at leading-edge semiconductor and systems companies worldwide.
