NWIX, a Liverpool, UK-based technology company, recently secured £500k in mezzanine loan from Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF).
The company is using the funding to grow and double staff numbers to 40 over the next three years.
Founded in 2004 by founder Nick Whittaker and led by CEO Steve Smith, NWIX runs a national fibre optic telecommunications network serving data centres and other large companies.
Clients include Moneysupermarket.com, the Isle of Man’s communications authority E-llan, and Dutch communications company KPN International.
NWIX has its network centre and back office functions in Macclesfield.
