Mogreet Raises $4.1M

Mogreet, a Venice, California-based mobile video marketing company, has raised $4.1m in capital.

The round was led by Black Diamond Ventures, with participation from DFJ Frontier, Ascend Ventures, Bryant Park Ventures and Draper Associates.
This brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $14.1m.

Mogreet intends to use the funding to launch moShare, its mobile sharing service, and expand its global presence in the mobile marketing and mobile advertising markets.

Founded in 2006 by CEO James Citron, the company operates a mobile messaging platform for the delivery of rich media to mobile devices. Mogreet messaging solutions integrate social, local and mobile technologies with multimedia content to create an engaging dialogue with consumers. Its “Share to social networks” tool creates a viral sharing opportunity as it allows recipients to become a brand advocate by sharing the brand’s messages with their own social networks.
The company works with marketers in entertainment, media, retail, consumer products, health care and real estate.
