HIRO Media, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based global provider of video advertising management and optimization technology, has closed a $5m funding round.
Backers were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funding to open a New York Center of Development and Support to serve its US customers.
Led by CEO Ariel Napchi, HIRO Media combines the power of online media with the knowledge of TV advertising to create a solution converging new media capabilities with proven TV brand advertising practices. Its platform provides a unified solution across all IP based devices.
The company, which recently added Jim Mazzarella to head up its buy side efforts within its US operations, also has offices in Silicon Valley, and Benelux.
The investment follows a number of partnerships signed with:
Viewster, a provider of video on demand service operating in more than 100 countries,
– agency Universal McCann Digital and
– YBRANT® a digital marketing solutions provider.
