Cyber Group Studios Closes €5M Financing

Cyber Group Studios, a Paris, France-based producer of 3D CGI animated TV series for youth, has closed a €5m financing.

Backers included Idinvest Partners and Entrepreneur Venture.

The company intends to use the capital to expand organically and through acquisitions, in France and abroad.

Founded in 2005 and led by President Pierre Sissmann and COO Dominique Bourse, Cyber Group Studios produces 3D CGI animated TV series for youth and distributes its productions worldwide through its own network which is selectively opened to series from third-party producers. The company also exploits its series’ intellectual properties via licensing deals with international consumer products companies in categories such as toys and games, CDs, books, apparel, interactive games.
Cyber Group Studios is currently developing eight new original projects for all youth age-groups, which will be announced soon.
In 2012, the company will have two new series on the air, “Zou”, an adaptation from the books by Michel Gay published in twenty countries and “Mademoiselle Zazie”, a series about children’s everyday life in the world of today, adapted from the books by Thierry Lenain and Delphine Durand and co-produced with France Télévisions.
