Crowdcube Receives Accreditation by CAPS Program

Crowdcube, an Exeter, UK-based crowdfunding platform, recently received an accreditation by the Crowdfunding Accreditation for Platform Standards (CAPS) program.

CAPS is an initiative by Crowdsourcing.org designed to promote the adoption of best practices for the operation of crowdfunding platforms as well as to protect both crowdfunders and fundraisers. It also aims to foster the sustainable growth of the crowdfunding industry to provide much needed capital for projects and initiatives, start-ups and small businesses.

Founded in 2010 by CEO Darren Westlake and Marketing Director Luke Lang, Crowdcube is a platform that gives entrepreneurs a platform to connect with ordinary people and raise venture capital. To date, about 20 companies have successfully pitched on the platform.
