CDC Software Acquired by Vista Equity Partners

CDC Software, The Customer-Driven Company™, an Atlanta, GA-based enterprise software provider of on-premise and cloud deployments, has been acquired by Vista Equity Partners for an undisclosed amont.

Monte Ford has been appointed to the newly created position of president of CDC Software, which is now a standalone company operating independently of CDC Corporation. Prior to this appointment, Monte Ford was Senior Vice President and CIO at AMR Corporation, and held executive positions in IT at The Associates and Bank of Boston.

John Clough, Interim CEO of the company, will continue in that role and assist with the transition over the coming months.

Leveraging a service-oriented architecture (SOA), CDC Software offers multiple delivery options for their solutions including on-premise, hosted, cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) or blended-hybrid deployment offerings. Solutions include enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing operations management, enterprise manufacturing intelligence, supply chain management (demand management, order management and warehouse and transportation management), global trade management, e-Commerce, human capital management, customer relationship management (CRM), complaint management and aged care solutions.

With offices around the world, the company currently serves over 10,000 customers in more than 50 countries within the manufacturing, distribution, transportation, retail, government, real estate, financial services, health care, and not-for-profit industries.
