Attachments.me Closes $2M Series A Investment from Foundry Group

Attachments.me, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of software to better manage email attachments, has closed a $2m Series A investment from Foundry Group.

This round, which follows the seed investment raised in 2011 (read here), brings the company’s total funding to date to $2.5m.

The start up intends to use the capital to ramp up development so it can integrate the solution into other email clients.

Launched in 2011 in Toronto, Canada, by Benjamin Coe and CEO Jesse Miller, Attachments.me initially brought better attachment search to Gmail. Now through partnerships with cloud-storage solutions including Dropbox and Box, the product allows its users to set up rules to have their attachments automatically organized and uploaded. It is also available as a Google Chrome extension and an iPhone application.

The company is currently hiring (attachments.me/pages/join).
