The management team of TD Travel Limited, a UK-based corporate travel company, has completed a management buyout of the business backed by LDC, for an undisclosed sum.
The MBO team is led by CEO Ian White, Chris Needham, and Chris Mollan. The investment is designed to help the company expand in new regions and develop new products and services.
Established over 25 years ago, TD Travel specializes in providing personalized business travel consultancy and booking services to over 500 companies. It employs a team of 60 experienced consultants across its offices in Wilmslow, Hull, Liverpool and Leeds, who help large, multi-national businesses across the North of England with global travel requirements save money by advising on optimum routes and ticket types to destinations around the world, using its relationships with hundreds of airlines, hotel companies and rail operators.
In conjunction with the deal, Dick Porter, a co-founder of STA Travel and previously Chairman of business travel company Griffin Travel, will join the business as Non-Executive Chairman. Tony Norwood of LDC will also join the company’s board.
