Silicon Valley-based Redpoint and eVentures are partnering to create a new venture capital firm in Brazil.
Redpoint eVentures, which will be headquartered in Sao Paulo, will be led by founding partners Yann de Vries and Anderson Thees.
It will leverage Redpoint and eVentures’ global experience and network to support promising start-ups in Consumer Internet, e-commerce, mobile, media and cloud services.
Redpoint eVentures will also be co-hosting the Founders Forum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, beginning of March, a networking event for the top 100 Internet entrepreneurs in Brazil.
