Kontiki Closes Initial $5.1M Round of Series C Financing

Kontiki, a Sunnyvale, CA-based provider of cloud based enterprise video platform and enterprise content delivery networks, has closed an initial $5.1m round of Series C financing.

Backers include existing investors MK Capital, New World Ventures, Cross Creek Capital, Hatteras Funds and Kontiki Chairman of the Board, Todd Johnson.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and increase adoption for its solutions.

Led by president and CEO Dan Vetras, Kontiki has developed a video platform and content delivery networks, which allow businesses to accelerate their use of video across the enterprise in support of engagement initiatives.
It offers organizations in the financial services, retail, technology, telecommunications and manufacturing market sectors the ability to globally deliver video on demand or live broadcasts to their employees, globally, and to the full range of business devices, including smart phones and tablets.
Customers include Pillar Hotels, NiSource, Plante Moran, American Airlines, H.J. Heinz, Wells Fargo, Nationwide, TalkPoint, NewsGator and Nestle.
