Averail Completes $6M Series A Funding

Averail, a Menlo Park, CA-based developer of a mobile content management (MCM) solution for smartphones and tablets, completed a $6m Series A funding.

The round was led by Foundation Capital and Storm Ventures.

The company intends to use the capital to advance product development and expand the organization (http://www.averail.com/company/careers.php). It expects to introduce its first offering in the second half of 2012.

Founded in 2011 by mobile industry experts John Drewry and Rahul Sharma, Averail is developing a mobile content management (MCM) solution for securely accessing and managing business documents on mobile tablets and smartphones.
According to the website, the company will share more details about its solutions in the second half of 2012.

In conjunction with the funding, Paul Holland, General Partner at Foundation Capital, and Tae Hea Nahm, Managing Director at Storm Ventures, have joined Averail’s Board of Directors.
