Vivio, a Palo Alto, CA-based start-up providing access to desktop applications, data and a familiar Windows environment from anywhere in the world, on almost any device, Mac or PC, android tablet or iPad, notebook or netbook, has raised $21m in funding.
Backers include Videocon (& Group Companies), and AEC Partners.
The company intends to use the funding to expand engineering efforts in its Palo Alto office and further roll-out the cloud platform across its operating regions in Europe, Middle East, India and Australia.
Founded by Sachin Duggal and Saurabh Dhoot, nivio provides the following products:
– nDrive (which provides synchronised storage with 10GB Free)
– nDesktop (which provides Windows from the Cloud to any device including iPad and Tablets)
– nApps (to rent normal desktop software in the cloud)
