Chupamobile, a marketplace for buying and selling source code and components for Mobile App developments, has raised a seed funding round of undisclosed amount and launched Chupamobile Ltd., headquartered in London, UK.
According to a written statement, internet and mobile serial entrepreneur Fabio Pezzotti has joined the company’s board of directors.
Launched in Beta last October by Stefano Argiolas and Paolo De Santis, Chupamobile allows developers to publish their components, as long as those respect specific guidelines in terms of quality, documentation and performance. All apps are pre-tested and validated by the company’s team. Developers can also promote their work and their expertise through social media, such as facebook, Twitter, and G+.
The platform currently supports the most important mobile operating systems (iOS, android, Blackberry, others) and development frameworks (Titanium, Corona, Phonegap). It has already been used by thousands of users, such as professional app developers, mobile marketing agencies, and web developers.
