VideoIQ, a Bedford, MA-based provider of video surveillance solutions, has raised an additional $3.5m in its Series C round of funding.
Backers include existing investors Atlas Venture, Matrix Partners and Tenaya Capital.
The company intends to use the funds, which bring the total Series C round to $11, to further expand its sales and product development teams globally (http://www.videoiq.com/pages/careers).
Led by Ed Bednarcik, president and CEO, VideoIQ provides intelligent video surveillance solutions powered by full 1080p high-definition self-calibrating analytics to deliver superior real-time threat detection, reduce network traffic and eliminate the need for central servers.
