SmartRecruiters, a San Francisco CA-based free social recruiting platform, has raised $5m in Series A financing.
The round was led by Mayfield Fund.
The company plans to use the funding to improve its product.
Founded in September 2010 by CEO Jerome Ternynck, SmartRecruiters has developed a cloud-based platform that combines free social software and third-party services, such as free job sites, job boards, social networks, assessment services, background check services and recruiting process outsourcing.
It allows businesses to create branded online job ads and professional looking career pages on corporate websites, distribute jobs to free, niche, and commercial job sites, add a careers tab to a Facebook corporate page, leverage social networks for internal and external referrals, engage candidates through a mobile career site, all assuring compliance with EEO and OFFCP regulations.
