Retailigence Receives Investiment from Motorola Solutions Venture Capital

Retailigence, a Palo Alto, CA-based mobile marketing service for retailers focused on local product and brand availability, has received an undisclosed amount of funding from Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, the strategic investment arm of Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:MSI).

The company intends to use the capital to advance the development of its service, accelerate integration into major retail systems, and expand retailer coverage.

Launched in late 2010 by CEO Jeremy Geiger, Retailigence provides a hyperlocal marketing platform designed to help drive qualified traffic into local retail stores. The company distributes a brand or retailer’s product availability information via a network of location-based application partners, used by consumers who are close to finalizing their buying decision.
Since launching, the service currently has more than 10 million active products that can be found at nearly 100,000 retail locations across the United States and Canada. The company recently launched in in the Japanese market with major IT and telecom partners.
