GetBonkers, a Santa Monica, CA-based game development studio focused on making engaging mobile learning applications for for children of all ages, will participate in the intensive, mentor-driven program of startup accelerator Amplify.
As a part of the program, the company will receive up to $50k in seed funding, dedicated office space, hands-on mentor meetings, introductions to investors and a three year hiatus on city taxes.
Founded by Charles Chase, GetBonkers has developed three apps:
– Lil’ Drummer, a music app and game
– Lil’ Brainiac, an app designed to help kids and adults learn words, objects, concepts, places, people, languages, etc., via proven visual/audio methods, and
– Bottlecaps.
Based in Los Angeles, Amplify.LA is a startup accelerator designed to help members grow their companies. The program operates from a 10,000 square foot entrepreneurial campus originally designed by renowned architect, Steven Ehrlich.
