Change Healthcare Corporation, a Brentwood, TN-based healthcare cost transparency company, has held the second closing of its Series C round of funding.
Backers include BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners (BCBSVP) and Sandbox Industries. They join Mitsui & Co. Global Investment, Inc. (MGI) along with the West Health Investment Fund, LLC, and existing investor, Solidus Co., which invested in an initial closing in September 2011.
This latest funding brings the total amount raised by the company in the Series C round to $9.3m.
Change Healthcare intends to use the funds to continue to enhance its cost transparency tool, Transparency Messenger™.
The company, which was launched in 2007, is led by Chairman and CEO Howard McLure.
