Burst Online Entertainment LLC, a Philadelphia, PA-based independent video game and social network developer, has received $100k in funding from Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania (BFTP/SEP).
Led by Damon Alberts, President, Jordan Schwartz, COO, and David Bowman, Vice President of Product Development, the company aims to create a social networking platform for the global community, which facilitates the development, distribution, operation and monetization of high-quality, free, online multiplayer PC-based games.
Titles include currently-in-beta WarMage Battlegrounds, a free-to-play multiplayer fantasy battle game, and Greeperz, a tower defense and third-person action game in the early phase of development.
Burst also has offices in Mesa, Arizona.
