Actagro Receives Investment from Norwest Equity Partners

Actagro, LLC, a Biola, California-based developer, manufacturer, and marketer of organic liquid and specialty plant nutrients, has received a significant investment from Norwest Equity Partners.

NEP invested alongside a group of the company’s employees. Norwest Mezzanine Partners, GE Antares Capital and Madison Capital Funding participated in the financing for this transaction.

Founded in 1980 and and led by CEO Carl Ueland, Actagro provides organic acid-based products designed to compliment conventional plant nutrition and help growers achieve higher, more cost effective crop yields.
The company has more than 60 employees and operates manufacturing facilities in Biola (which can produce over 100,000 gallons per day of N-P-K blends and micronutrient products, and has storage capacity in excess of 1,750,000 gallons) and Osceola, Arkansas (which can produce 50,000 gallons per day of N-P-K blends and micronutrient products with a storage capacity of 1,000,000 gallons).
