ZINK Imaging Inc., a Bedford, Massachusetts-based manufacturer of ink-free printing for consumer and business needs, has closed a $35m Series B financing.
The round was led by Genii Capital.
The company intends to use the funding for commercial growth and development of its technology.
ZINK Imaging is the inventor of the its ZINK® Technology and the manufacturer of ZINK Paper®, an innovative printing technology. It consists of a full-color printing system that eliminates the need for ink cartridges or ribbons with all the color required for printing an image or text embedded in the ZINK Paper® itself.
The company also hired former board members and industry veterans Mary Jeffries, as Chairman and co-CEO, and Ira Parker, as President and co-CEO.
Zink has a state of the art manufacturing facility in Whitsett, North Carolina.
