Scope 5 Raises First Funding from Angel Investors

Scope 5, a Seattle, WA-based provider of sustainability management software service, raised its first external funding of undisclosed amount from a group of angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand sales and product development efforts.

Led by co-founder and CEO Yoram Bernet, Scope 5 provides web-hosted software service that helps a wide range of private and public-sector organizations extract value from their environmental sustainability and energy data. The company, which emerged from stealth mode, recently released the first version of its service and signed two sustainability consulting firms as partners, including Good Company.
It also landed two representative customers with multi-year software service subscriptions.

In conjunction with the funding, David Billstrom, an experienced venture capitalist and serial entrepreneur, joined the Scope 5’s board of directors.
