Pantea, a Navacchio (Pisa), Italy-based company that specializes in mobile advertising, is to receive €750k in equity funding.
Backers include Atlante Mezzogiorno Ventures, which subscribed for part of a capital increase of a total of €600k, and Neomobile – an Italian mobile media and commerce company. The investment is split into two tranches and a part of it is tied to the reaching of milestones.
Following the close of the transaction, Atlante Ventures Mezzogiorno will hold a minority interest in Pantea, while the founding shareholders will retain a majority of the company’s shares.
Pantea intends to use the funding to create an information technology development centre in Catania.
Founded by Sicilian entrepreneur Gaetano Liggieri, the company offers its clients a Mobile Ad Server platform for managing advertisements on all mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets, as well as on PCs. Pantea has also created a Mobile Marketing platform, which allows large brands to design, implement and distribute online marketing campaigns to their customers using text messages, QR code, mobile landing pages and other customer interaction tools.
