Funds managed by American Securities LLC, a New York-based middle-market private equity firm, and the company’s management team, have acquired Global Tel*Link, a Mobile, Alabama-based provider of communications solutions for the corrections industry, from Veritas Capital.
The investment, whose amount was not discolsed, is intended to help the company continue to build the business and upgrade its technology and products, which include jail management systems, inmate telephones, probation and parole management systems, and call investigation tools.
Led by CEO Brian Oliver, Global Tel*Link also maintains a validation station and secondary system and a data backup site in Houston, Texas, as well as a research and development facility and customer support center in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
