eRecyclingCorps, an Irving Texas-based developer of an in-store credit platform for recycling wireless devices, has raised $35m in funding.
The round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
Founded in 2009 by CEO David Edmondson, and Ron LeMay, Managing Director of OpenAir Equity Partners, which made the original investment along with SJF Ventures, eRecyclingCorps has built a proprietary web-based platform that integrates directly into the point-of-sale system to allow carriers and subscribers to recapture a portion of the value of wireless devices no longer used by subscribers.
Customers include Sprint and Verizon.
