Define My Style, a Cincinnati, OH-based online style community providing teen users with the opportunity to design, share, advertise and purchase physical and virtual custom products, has closed a $690k seed-stage funding.
The round was led by CincyTech ($250k), with participation from The Queen City Angels ($100k), Tech Coast Angels in Los Angeles ($140k) and individual investors.
The company intends to use the capital to expand virtual offerings, to design, create and implement a new Web platform, and to grow membership from 40,000 to 100,000 users.
Founded by CEO Kristine Sturgeon, Define My Style is an online, style-centric community designed to empower creative high school and college girls, ages 15-24. The Web-based platform provides members with tools and connections to launch a virtual store, design, promote, manufacture and sell custom products under a personal brand.
