BestVendor Raises $3M in Series A Funding

BestVendor, a New York-based online resource where professionals discover and share work-related applications, has raised $3m in Series A funding.

The round was co-led by RRE Ventures and SoftBank Capital, with additional participation from Lerer Ventures, David Tisch, Founder Collective, and Old Willow Partners. Last June, the company raised 600k in seed funding (read here).

Founded in 2011 by CEO Jeff Giesea, along with co-founders Ben Zhuk and Magnus von Koeller, BestVendor helps business professionals find work apps based on the recommendations of people like them. The company launched a beta site last month at http://bestvendor.com. Since then, more than 4,800 professionals have openly shared an average of 13 work applications.
