AppShare Raises £500K in Fourth Funding Round

AppShare Limited, a Glasgow, UK-based developer of web collaboration technology that allows the sharing of electronic information and software applications between groups at different geographical locations, has raised £500k in its fourth round of funding.

The round was led by existing investor Braveheart Investment Group (AIM: BRH), with participation from Strathclyde Innovation Fund, Scottish Investment Bank’s Scottish Co-investment Fund and the University of Strathclyde.

Spun out from the University of Strathclyde in 2008 and led by CEO Stephen Behan, AppShare has specifically developed its technical architecture for medium and large scale enterprises.
The software has already been piloted by a UK listed company where it is now planned to roll out across their network.
