Virident, Inc., a Milpitas, California-based provider of flash-based Storage Class Memory (SCM) solutions, has completed a $21m Series C funding.
The round was led by existing investor Globespan Capital Partners, with strategic participation from Intel Capital, Cisco and a storage solutions provider, along with existing investors Sequoia Capital and Artiman Ventures.
To date, Virident has raised $50m in equity funding.
The company intends to use the funds market expansion and product innovation.
Led by CEO and co-founder Kumar Ganapathy, Virident Systems provides enterprise-class Storage Class Memory (SCM) solutions designed to deliver high performance across a wide range of workloads and maximum storage capacity utilization over years.
In addition, the company announced its next generation flagship product, Virident FlashMAX™.
Virident also has offices in Karnataka, India.
