Seva Search Closes $1.3M Series A Funding

Seva Search, Inc., a Potomac, Maryland-based local search company, has closed a $1.3m Series A funding.

Investors include Fortify.vc, Jonathon Perrelli, Ed Mathias, Tim Sykes, Jay Virdy, David Eisner, Andrew Bachman, Jigar Shah, Krishna Subramanian, Vishal Gurbaxani, Arjun Dev Arora, Saket Saurabh, Paul Silber, David Krauskopf, John Lapides, Roger Richter, Glen Hellman, John Cammack, Badder Alghanim, James and David Dingman, Alex Edmans, and John Villa.

Seva Search intends to use the funds to further develop and market its first product, Seva Call, a local search engine that connects consumers with local businesses based on signals including online ratings and reviews, social reputation and interaction, call analytics, and other forms of consumer and business feedback.
It will be publicly launched in early 2012.

The company was co-founded by Gurpreet Singh, Manpreet Singh, and Amandeep Bakshi.
