Powerhouse Dynamics, a Newton, Ma-based provider of an intelligent energy management solution, has raised $3m in Series A funding.
The round was led by SOSventures, with participation from existing investors.
The company intends to use the funding to expand into the commercial facilities market.
Led by CEO Martin Flusberg, Powerhouse Dynamics provides eMonitorTM, which monitors a building’s electrical power consumption at the circuit level, providing ongoing analysis, diagnostics and alerts to deliver actionable intelligence and control strategies.
After introducing eMonitorTM for consumers in 2010, the company recently released a commercial version of its product (the eMonitor c-Series), which is targeted at small commercial facilities, such as restaurants, convenience stores and retail stores.
