Mention Mobile Raises $250K from Mark Cuban

Mention Mobile, a Los Angeles-based maker of social gaming apps, has raised $250k from entrepreneur Mark Cuban.

Cuban, owner of the NBA champion Dallas Mavericks, will own a minority equity stake in the company.

The company has already launched two apps, Trivia Friends and Doodle, which utilize Facebook public information to customize games and create personalized content based off the user’s friends, preferences, interests, etc. They are currently available in the Apple App Store,

Mention Mobile intends to use the funds to develop from eight to ten new apps, including the release of Version 2 of Trivia Friend, which is due out in the next week. Other titles such as Get to the Nest, Cave Face, Meep, Santa vs. Zombies and Derby N’ Friends, will follow (also available for Android and Facebook).

The company was founded in 2010 by chief producer Ryan Ozonian.
