Litorina is acquiring approximately 70% of Borås, Sweden-based Sveba-Dahlén Group, a supplier of high-quality bakery equipment.
Litorina aims to help the company further strengthen its position in home markets as well as in growth markets, such as China and Russia and to intensify investment in product development.
Founded in 1948 and and led by CEO Anders Rietz, Sveba currently consists of a group that manufactures and develops products in three areas:
– ovens (Sveba-Dahlén),
– make-up lines (Glimek), and
– mixers (Bear Varimixer).
The company sells its products to traditional bakeries, industrial bakeries, in-store bakeries in supermarkets, and restaurants in Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Russia and Hong Kong and in another 60 countries through a global distributor network. Sveba has production facilities in Sweden, Denmark and Estonia and a total of 300 employees.
