BioMers Completes SGD6M (€3.5M) Funding Round

BioMers, a Singapore-based medical device company that has developed novel polymer composite products for numerous biomedical applications, has completed a SGD6m (approximately €3.5m) round of funding.

Backers include an undisclosed venture capital fund, private investors and existing shareholder Singapore Nanostart (OTCQX: NASRY), which is investing pro rata in this financing.

The company intends to use the new capital to build a new production facility in Singapore, expand the sales and marketing team and sales and marketing support activities focusing on Singapore, the US and selected countries in Europe.

Established in 2005 as a spin-off company from the National University of Singapore, where its technology was invented, BioMers provides the SimpliClear™ braces system, which is an aesthetic solution for all types of orthodontic treatments.
