Audioname Receives $25K investment from Portland Seed Fund

Audioname, a Portland, Oregon-based web application that enables people to record their name and share it with their contacts through email and social networks, has received a $25k investment from the Portland Seed Fund.

Founded and led by Sheetal Dube, a user experience consultant with more than fourteen years of experience in building consumer friendly applications, Audioname aims to help people learn how to pronounce each others name and build better relationships, enriching their online identity.
The tool can have several applications, from bridging cultural differences to provide high value to direct marketers, sales professionals, teachers and anyone who needs to pronounce foreign or tricky name.

The start up recently won a $10k grant for the concept stage category at the Bend Venture Conference.
