Aksel Group Inc., the San Francisco and New York-based holding company behind AkselParis.com, a direct-to-consumer fashion start up, has closed a $500k seed funding.
The round was led by Inspiration Ventures, with participation from David McClure’s 500Startups, Fabrice Grinda, founder of OLX, IG Expansion’s Jose Marin, Paul Bragiel of I/O Ventures and Nicolas Bernadi.
The company intends to use the funding to grow its line in different categories.

The company features a European-influenced brand tailored for the US market and produces shirts, socks, footwear, cufflinks and iPad covers. It is also launching a full line of European-made scarves and coats, available in several weeks.
