AfterCollege, a San Francisco, CA-based professional talent network for college students and recent graduates, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Flywheel Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and marketing of its professional networking tools for entry-level job seekers.
Founded in 1999 and led by CEO Roberto Angulo, AfterCollege connects users with employers through career networks at colleges and professional associations.
Colleges and universities use the company’s free service to enable networking between their students, alumni and employers in a platform that maintains student privacy and simplifies the work of university administrators.
The company launched public profiles earlier in the year and recently passed the 600,000 profile mark. It has also been testing a student and alumni networking service that it expects to roll out to employers in the first quarter of 2012.
