Starduck Studios Closes $615K Second Funding Round

Starduck Studios Ltd , a Tampere, Finland-based start-up that has developed Intoloop, an online secure service designed to share child photos and stories, has closed a $615k second funding round.

Backers include:
Risto Salo, main shareholder of Halti;
Hannu Jyrkkä, CEO of Sasken Finland;
JanDing Ltd;
Pitkäjärvi Capital Ltd; and
Gowda Capital Ltd.
This second round brings the total amount raised by the company to date to more than $1.35m.

Starduck Studios intends to use the funds to continue to develop its online service and expand the business into the global market. At the moment, Intoloop is available in English, Finnish, and Japanese with additional languages becoming available soon.
Mobile versions of the service for iPhone and Android handsets will be published during this month.

Founded in 2009 and led by Petri Hiissa, Chairman of the Board, and Henri Liljeroos, CEO, the company recently partnered with Terve Media, the largest Finnish wellness media to bring together the Intoloop Kids child journal and the users of the family portal Helistin.fi.
