Snapette Raises $1.3M in Seed Funding

Snapette Inc., a Silicon Valley based provider of a mobile application that enables women to discover and share in-store shoes, bags and accessories by location, has raised $1.3m in seed funding.

Investors include Silicon Valley venture capital firms (Accel Partners, 500 Startups, Forerunner Ventures) and angels including Brian Lee, the Founder/CEO of Shoedazzle.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its management team, launch its service across multiple platforms (iPad, Android and Windows Phone), and incorporate social commerce capabilities.

Founded by Jinhee Ahn Kim and Sarah Paiji, Snapette allows fashion-conscious users to browse products near their current location by brand, store or description, or by what’s “New”, “Near” and “Hot”. They can also share photos and comments with other users as well as follow their favorite contributors.
The app, which currently is udes in over 130 countries, also provides feeds from “featured” boutiques as well as fashion experts.

The company recently completed the 500 Startups accelerator program in Silicon Valley.
