Personal Development Bureau Raises £25K through Crowdcube

Personal Development Bureau, a London, UK-based start-up business that helps the growing numbers of police, fire service and other forces personnel cope with unemployment, has raised £25k through the equity crowdfunding website Crowdcube.

The company raised the capital from sixty-eight investors, who each contributed between £10 and £3,300, in return for 15% in the business.

Personal Development Bureau intends to use the funds to expand operations to meet the increasing demand that is occurring as a result of Government public sector cuts.

Founded by Rupert Honywood, the company provides police and armed forces personnel – who are facing redundancy, job loss or early retirement – with mentoring, training and support services (delivered by 200 specialists) designed to allow them to pursue a new career path or set up their own business.
