The Costa Group of companies, a Victoria, Australia-based large private producer, marketer and exporter of high-quality fresh fruit and vegetables, has received an equity investment of undisclosed amount from Paine & Partners, LLC.
In conjunction with the investment, entities affiliated with Paine & Partners and Costa formed a newly company on a 50/50 owned basis.
With the support of Paine & Partners, the company has the financial resources, a global industry network and the experience to build on its core businesses and further invest in innovative horticultural techniques, proprietary new varieties, and facilities, while pursuing new market opportunities.
Led by Frank Costa, Chairman, and Harry Debney, Chief Executive, Costa is a full-service grower, packer, shipper, marketer, importer and exporter with production, trading and logistical operations throughout Australia and internationally.
