Calmark, a Karlstad, Sweden-based medical technology company, has raised an equity funding of undisclosed amount from Almi Invest and other investors.
The company intends to use the funding to continue to grow in Europe and in other parts of the world, and attract potential international licensees.
Founded in 2007 by CEO Mathias Karlsson, MD., Ph.D., and Sofia Hiort af Ornäs, MSc., Calmark focuses on developing biomarker solutions for point-of-care detection of critical illness. With its solutions, the company aims to offer support and data to physicians in situations where time is critical and fast decisions have to be made.
Calmark also has offices in Stockholm.
